Among approximately 200 engineering schools in France, ECPM Strasbourg regularly stands out in the rankings. This year again, the school secures very good positions in the rankings of L’Etudiant and L’Usine Nouvelle.

The ECPM’s vocation is to train trilingual chemical engineers in 3 years, with important practical training for industry, in the sectors of chemistry and materials for health and the environment.

The study published by L’Usine Nouvelle ranks ECPM 13th in the general ranking of French engineering schools. L’Etudiant places it in 21st position in its general ranking. In terms of specialty rankings, the school is distinguished by a 3rd place nationally in chemistry and a 2nd place in materials.

The studies notably highlight ECPM’s remarkable international openness (more than a quarter of graduates working abroad, more than 20% with international double degrees), as well as the quality of the educational support, with one teacher for 6.5 students, almost all of whom are teacher-researchers (nearly 90%).

The result of an ecosystem of excellence and innovation

ECPM is backed by two major institutions in the Alsatian student landscape: the Alsace Tech network and the University of Strasbourg. Alsace Tech is an association that has been federating the 14 major engineering, architecture, art, design, and management schools in Alsace since 2007. The network now represents more than 10,000 students in 80 training specialties.

With 4 Nobel Prize winners currently active, including 3 in chemistry, the University of Strasbourg is recognized as a leading center for research and innovation in this field. The renowned Shanghai Ranking cites it as 1st in the European Union and top 50 worldwide for this specialty. It is also ranked 1st University in Europe for its impact on innovation by the prestigious Nature Index Innovation.
