In a complex economic and political context, the Grand Est Region continues to attract foreign investors and maintains its third place among the most attractive regions in France. Alsace, which constitutes 15% of the region’s area, accounts for 40% of the projects and 35% of the jobs created or maintained, a sign of its economic dynamism.

The 139 investment projects recorded in 2024 have thus created or preserved nearly 3,000 jobs in the Grand Est. These figures are notably driven by the industrial sector, with nearly half of the jobs created and 48% of the projects concentrated in production.
Here are some of the representative projects of this success in Alsace:
- Dow, one of the world leaders in materials science, has invested over €35M in a new production line in Lauterbourg to facilitate the recycling of food carton items and reduce the use of chemicals;
- Wollette, a British startup specializing in the digitization of receipts, has established its headquarters in Strasbourg to deploy all its European operations;
- Microsoft has chosen the Mulhouse region to invest over €2 billion in a data center dedicated to AI.
At the forefront, ADIRA is responsible for welcoming and establishing international investors in Alsace, thanks to a team of economic developers who support foreign capital companies throughout their journey in Alsace.
Its ability to mobilize services and administrations facilitates and accelerates all the steps of project promoters, often constituting a decisive asset in the establishment process.
